| Rigid Box History | ||||||||
Rigid boxes, also referred to as Setup Boxes, were the first type of cardboard boxes. The name, Rigid Box, derives from exactly as common sense would have you believe--from its sturdy, non-folding construction. For more than 80 years, rigid boxes have been the preferred means of packaging for companies who wish to elevate the value of their product with a protective, decorative box. |

Because of its simple design, it has stood the test of time. The sturdiness (rigidity) of the boxes comes from its non-collapsable design. All four corners are taped by a machine process known as staying and another machine known as a wrapper wraps and glues the paper over the cardboard, aiding in the rigidity of the box. The protection rigid boxes provide for its contents and the intrinsic value added by its sturdy construction help make any product sale and last longer. |
